Georgia Weather History for May 19th

In 2001, large hail fell across several portions of northern Fulton County. Quarter sized hail was seen in Alpharetta and golf ball sized hail fell in the Roswell area. In addition to the hail, trees were also knocked down. In Jasper County, a tree fell on a home and another on a car. Around 1,000 people in the county lost power. In Cobb County, fallen trees damaged two cars which subsequently resulted in an automobile accident.
