Changes are coming to NWS product IDs
updated 6/08/04 Changes postponed for 1 week...changes will take place on Tuesday June 15th.
On Tuesday June 15, 2004 the National Weather Service will begin to transition their product IDs. While most of the change will be transparent to most, customers may have some difficulty finding a few of our products. Our products have always been coded by a 9 letter id NNNXXXCCC. The NNN stands for the Node (ATL) XXX for the product (AFD, ZFP etc.) and CCC for the station (ATL). The CCC will be changing from ATL to FFC.
This change will be done in stages with 8 products affected initially. The following products will be changed as of noon on Tuesday June 15, 2004:
ATLAFDFFC ... Area Forecast Discussion
ATLAFPFFC ... Area Forecast Product ATLCCFFFC ... Coded Cities Forecast ATLFWLFFC ... Land Management Forecast ATLHWOFFC ... Hazardous Weather Outlook ATLNOWFFC ... Short Term Forecast ATLSDSFFC ... Special Dispersin Statement ATLZFPFFC ... Zone Forecast for North and Central Georgia | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
