July 2009 Highlights
- Follow our ongoing drought on our Drought Information Page.
- So far, the 2009 Hurricane season has been quiet. But don't let that
fool you - the peak of the season doesn't come around until around
the middle of September. It is very early in the hurricane season and you can always check out the
National Hurricane Awareness Week website
for excellent information that can be used to save lives at work, home, while on the road, or on the water. So check it out now - do not wait until the
next storm is on our doorstep!
- Keeping on the hurricane theme, you can have your own copy of the 2009 Hurricane Workshop
booklet. Storm names for 2009 and future seasons can be found here.
- Our Hurricane Ike page can be found here, and an Ike storm survey kml file can be found
here. If you are interested in participating in a short survey designed
to help improve storm surge products and information, please click here.
