October 18th - 19th, 2006
Severe Weather & Flash Flooding

Another round of severe weather struck Louisiana from late on October 18th into the morning of the 19th.  Unlike what occurred on Monday October 16th, this event mainly consisted of lines of thunderstorms producing straight line wind damage.  These storms also caused several areas of flash flooding, especially around the Lake Charles area.

Lake Charles LA Two telephone poles blown down near downtown
Leblanc LA Trees down on power lines
Mamou LA Power lines and trees down with structural damage
5 E Ville Platte LA Damage to roofs and buildings
3 W Washington LA Tree damage
Pine Prairie LA Damage to roofs and buildings
Duson LA Barn destroyed
