Daily river forecasts began on Monday, September 10, 2007. This daily product will show river level forecasts
for two automatically gauged sites on the Rio Grande: 5 miles SE of Presidio and at
Rio Grande Village (Boquillas). You can view these forecasts from the
Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service webpage by clicking on the desired site ID. To get to the tabular product,
click on the "Text Products" link below the map and then on Hydrologic Statement near the bottom of the list.

Daily River Forecasts to Begin September 10, 2007
The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Midland,
Texas, in coordination with the National Weather Service River Forecast
Center in Fort Worth, Texas, will begin issuing daily river forecasts
for two points on the Rio Grande on September 10, 2007 following a 30
day open comment period. The two points will be at river gauge located
5 miles SE of Presidio and at Rio Grande Village in Big Bend National

During one of the heavy rain events, the river levels rose high enough at Lajitas to wash away the staff gage.
Until this can be fixed, river information out of this location will be estimated. If you have any questions,
