Issued at 2:22 PM CDT, Sat May 17, 2008 For Guadalupe Mountains Of Eddy County, Eddy County Plains, Northern Lea County, Central Lea County, Southern Lea County, Gaines, Dawson, Borden, Scurry, Andrews, Martin, Howard, Mitchell, Van Horn And Highway 54 Corridor, Reeves County And Upper Trans Pecos, Loving, Winkler, Ector, Midland, Glasscock, Ward, Crane, Upton, Reagan, Davis/Apache Mountains Area, Pecos, Presidio Valley, Marfa Plateau, Big Bend Area, Terrell and Guadalupe Mountains: SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS MUCH OF WEST TEXAS AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO. NO ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED...BUT THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL...STRONG WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH...AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.
