| Effective October 1, 2008 the National Weather Service,
Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center (LMRFC) replaced web pages displaying
river forecast hydrographs with the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service’s
(AHPS) hydrograph pages. Our current status maps will remain unchanged.
The AHPS pages provide additional information such as historical
crests, low water event dates, gage location maps, and flood categories.
Some forecast sites also offer data such as flood inundation maps,
and probability forecasts. The added information will give customers
and partners more tools to help in decision making and thus provide
an enhanced service to what is currently being provided.
