The 30th anniversary of the significant tornado outbreak of April 10, 1979 is on April 10, 2009. This tornado outbreak included two F4 tornadoes, one of which struck the southern parts of Wichita Falls, Texas. The "Wichita Falls Tornado" was one of the most devastating tornadoes in US history.
