A cold front will dissipate as it moves through the peninsula tonight and Monday
morning. Dry and cooler air will filter in behind it, with temperatures Monday
afternoon getting into the lower 80s in the Nature Coast counties as well as coastal
West Central Florida, and readings into the mid 80s elsewhere. Lows Tuesday
morning may fall into the upper 40s in some of the cooler spots up north and into
the mid 50s in similar parts of West Central and Southwest Florida. Dry air associated
with the airmass behind the front will bring an increased risk for the spread of
wildfires over most of the region Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will
return to near normal levels by Wednesday. |
